Wool Creations-Needle Felted Soft Sculptures

Christmas?? 03/15/2010

I find it hard to think of Christmas in March. However, I had an email to remind me to give it some thought. Now! Interest in one of my ornaments has me in the producing mode. So, today I will concentrate on making some Christmas ornaments, as I have none in stock. Sold them all.

I use a 2 step process to get the ornament ready for the design. First I dry felt the ornament and then it gets wet felted. This way I have a very smooth surface to work on and it will maintain it's shape.

I also plan on having an ornament kit this year so I will start work on that as well. Full schedule today so I had better get started.

Anyone else working on Christmas this Spring?

Beware of Kits 03/08/2010

I don't think I will ever understand why someone sells a kit with incomplete information. While trying to hide their secret methods they are actually cheating the customer - you!

I have had kits that leave out the important information. When someone orders a kit it is to make, as close as possible, the picture on the kit. Not possible if you don't have all the techniques used to create the original. So, just be careful when you buy a kit. Be prepared to create something not quite like the picture on the front. Anyone else have this type of experience?

Everyone is Irish on Saint Patrick's Day, or so they say. I do get a bit of the brogue on that day, but who's to say?

I created a doll for this day. What else but a Leprechaun? A lot of time goes into doll creation. A great number of parts are created and then assembled for the finished product. So, what do you think?
