I just finished the last black spot on this cute little sculpture. This is Rufus. He is all wool. Mostly Corriedale wool, but  he also has Merino wool which I use for the details.

I do a really unusual internal structure to the neck so it is entirely movable with no danger of dislodging it. It will return to the original position by itself.

I always enjoy sculpting animals, especially the babies of a species. Just too cute for words. A short break then onto the next piece.

I will be in the August edition of Better Homes and Gardens Holiday Craft Magazine and I getting really excited about that. I have everything in to the magazine so it is all coming together. I can't wait to see it.

If you like this little Dalmation leave a comment. I always appreciate hearing the thoughts of other artists.

Just finished my Polar Bear for my wild life series. Sadly, thanks to pollution, the only place we will see some of these animals is in zoos.

My fully furred bear was chosen to be in a treasury on Etsy. Thanks for that honor. Take a peek. Many beautiful, wild items. And now for a picture of my bear:

Today Etsy picked one of my soft sculptures for the front page. This is considered quite an honor which is why I mention it in my blog.

My little, long -haired dog, Mojo, won the honor. The picture of the page is on the Awards page. Here is a picture of my sculpture that was honored:

Anyone who has picked up a felting needle and made their first poke into the wool is usually hooked. I am no exception! There is no doubt my art background has helped, but it isn't necessary to create with wool. So join me and have some fun.  Janice
